11.05.2009 argonauten G2 successful at this year’s One Show Interactive in New York City
| At this year’s One Show Interactive in New York City the multi-channel-agency argonauten G2 came away a winner, collecting a Bronze Pencil – one of only four Pencils awarded to German agencies – for concept development, design and implementation of the “Digital Concert Hall” as well as with a Merit for the web special “Volkswagen 2028”. The “Digital Concert Hall” is the first online-streaming platform to broadcast classical concerts from the Berliner Philharmoniker globally and in unprecedented video and audio quality. Inspired by the architecture of Berlin’s Philharmonie, the argonauten G2 developed a virtual version of this concert hall that does full justice to the Berliner Philharmoniker’s live performances. What’s more, the digital version offers additional services the real concert hall cannot: always the best seat, a variety of perspectives, and personalisable content – all of this unrestricted by time and place. The web special “Volkswagen 2028” focuses on the future of mobility as envisioned by this highly innovative carmaker. The agency used a classic film setup, a conversation between a father and his son, to give the site’s infotainment mixture of 3D effects, animations and flash-based navigation a distinctly human focus. Rather than using a perhaps more predictably futuristic setting, placing this conversation in a city park emphasizes Volkswagen’s commitment to an automotive future that is as environmentally responsible as it is technologically optimistic. As one of the three most prestigious creative competitions run annually by the American The One Show Club in New York City, the One Show Interactive ranks among the five most important international advertising awards. For over ten years, a varying jury of renowned creative personalities has awarded online projects with a Pencil in gold, silver or bronze or a Merit. But One Show Interactive winners are more than just cleverly placed online campaigns – they represent courage and individuality as well as innovation, bringing new impulses to Interactive creativity worldwide. Honoured on the 8th of May in New York City, this year’s winners, including “Digital Concert Hall” and “Volkswagen 2028”, are exhibited online on the Club’s website as well as printed in its yearbook. |
